This school came into inception precisely on the 15th day of October 2004.It started from cradle to the enviable position it occupies today. Thanks to the vision and sheer determination of the proprietress of the school Mrs. OKwui Sydney- Moka, a seasoned educationist.
The school is located at Ojelade close, off Akudestreet, off Fasheun street, Ago Palace way, OkotaIsolo, Lagos. The place of the school is an ideal environment for learning. The edifice housing Great Hearts school provides the ambience for the nurturing of excellent pupils and students who are future ambassadors of this nation. The school boasts of seasoned committed and hardworking teachers.
As a secular school it accommodates pupils and students of diverse religious background.Our mission has always been to impart and enhance academic excellence and sound moral knowledge in our
pupils and students. At Great Hearts we teach and pray but God gives knowledge.

Well, looking back, we the Chukwuma family never made a mistake when we decided to transfer our children from one of the popular schools then in Okota to Great Heart International School. The trail of industrious teachers from that same school to Great Heart International School was a motivational factor. Then, meeting Lady Okwui Sidney -Moka , her simplicity and love for children was amazing too. She knew all the children in the School by name and had special names for all as well.
All our four children passed through Great Heart International School and the School passed through them. The foundation, academically, discipline and fear of God made and is still making them the pride of the family. My first child is doing his Master’s degree in Data Science Analytics in one of the top Universities in The United Kingdom, the second child is doing Medicine and Human Science in another University in Belarus, the third child had top grades and one of the best in his class awaiting his University admission for Electrical and Electronics Engineering in The United Kingdom. The last child, the baby of the family is in her Advanced Level College, aspiring to be a Nurse. What more can I say? Great Heart International School would always remain in our hearts and God bless the school and all the stakeholders mightily, amen and amen.

I am privileged to be one of the parents of this School, which I call ” a Citadel of Learning”. I had my children both as pupils and students in the school. My children came out of this school with such analytical mindsets. The school inculcated in them such abilities to think critically. Every child is given sense of belonging. No discrimination Whether on the basis of religion, sex or gender nor on social standing.
Great Hearts International School is a place where children are opportuned to learn to interact, communicate and collaborate with others outside their families. The school instills self – discipline and responsibility in the children. My children are testaments to that. At Great Hearts International School there is firmly entrenched regular routines, homework, and assignments which help pupils develop time management and personal accountability. There is this virtue of Resilience I noticed in my children. Facing challenges in schools, whether academic or social, helps pupils build resilience ,learn from setbacks, and persist through difficulties. Encouraging of pupils’ talents/interest…discovery of talents, career guidance etc are the hallmark of the school. Great Hearts International School has been a transformative experience for my daughter.
